Instead of coming to her own engagement party, Joanna throws herself into New Year's Eve partying. Her fiancé follows her lead.

Marta is coming to Warsaw to study. Due to lack of money, she begins to work in a cafe.

A veteran cop (David Carradine) investigates the crimes of an anarchist street gang that causes chaos wherever they go. Meanwhile, his wife (Nancy Kwan), a police counselor, investigates a teenage runaway case which leads to the same gang. Showdowns ensue that pits sides together in a violent series of confrontations.

The film is about crossing a line that leads to becoming part of a group of people labeled as drug addicts. It all starts with seemingly innocent marijuana smoking, with the hope that "nothing will happen to me, I won't get addicted"...

There is a beautiful girl on a bench in the park, a boy next to her. They are somewhere nineteen. People are walking along the park alley next to the bench. An old man, office worker, couple, married couple, colleagues. Everyone looks at the wonderful couple with admiration. They envy their youth, beauty and love. In fact, it all just looks so beautiful. The girl and her boyfriend are still arguing. The girl is pregnant, she wants to have her terminated. The boy does not want to give her money for the procedure, he thinks her up from the worst. He doesn't want to admit his paternity. The girl blackmails him.

Pavel Hora offers his friend Jiří Pulpán a place to live. When they get home, they find out that the landlord has evicted Pavel to the yard because he found a love letter from his daughter Zuzanka. So the two men arrange an apartment in the yard. When the landlord catches Jiří with his other daughter Pepička, he sends both daughters to his brother Sylvester on the farm.
